Shelley was born in Ft. Collins Colorado, there she attended Rocky Mountain High School and graduated in 1983. After high school, she attended Colorado State University where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Development and Family Studies. Shelley worked in Crises Intervention for several years. Later she attended the University of Northern Colorado where she earned a Masters of the Arts Degree in 1996. Most recently, Shelley gave her time as a volunteer driver for the Pepin County Senior Services.
Shelley was a generous person giving to others when she had little herself. Toys for Tots and other Christmas Charities were always blessed by her generosity. Shelley loved quilting, reading, playing her guitar, gardening, the dogs, 4-wheeling and country living.
Shelley was joined in Holy Matrimony to Bruce D. Anderson of Plum City at the Pepin Hill Free Church on September 24, 2005.
Shelley is survived by her husband and soul mate Bruce, her parents Owen “Bob” Steward, Pearl and Chuck Hagermeister, one brother, Steve Steward, all of Ft. Collins, CO, one stepdaughter, Chris (Erik) Tri`, three grandchildren, Austin, Alex and Anna, all at home, one stepson, Norm Anderson and children, all of Redwing, MN, two brother-in-laws, Howard Anderson of Maiden Rock and Ken Anderson of Minneapolis, one sister-in-law, Kim Riley of River Falls, mother-in-law, Marj Anderson of Plum City and dear friend Jackie Johnson of North Dakota. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Margaret Steward, William Earl and Bertha Maxwell, brother, Robert Bruce Steward, father-in-law, Lyle H. Anderson.
Shelley, you will be missed by all who really knew you.
