  2. Mary Catherine O'Connell Anderson

Mary Ann once taught me a card game that I could play any time, any where. You just need a deck of cards and simply flip them over in your hands. I play it often when traveling. Every time I play I remember her. She was always so kind and friendly at family reunions at Bernard and Peggy's. May God receive her in Heaven. God Bless her family!

  3. Larry and Diane Luke

Your mother/grandma was a gem. She made everyone feel like a singular guest. Role model to us all...!

  4. Mary Jo (Fox) Coffey

MaryAnn and Jim were friends of my parents (Warren and Agnes Ryan Fox). They took time from farming so that our families could spent time together during my childhood and continued their friendship for years. I enjoyed the times we were together and am thinking of you with sympathy,

  5. Toni Kremer Lippert

Many times we come across a person in our life that stays with you after many years. MaryAnn was one of those people. I went to grade school at Lima with Rob and remember all the work MaryAnn did. God bless you, MaryAnn. Thank you for those memories.

  6. Carolyn Kothbauer Peterson

MaryAnn was a huge influence on my life. She was my 4-H leader for years and the mother of my good friend Jim. I can remember so many wonderful moments at her house practicing for 4-H skits or baking something for an event of some kind. She taught me so many leadership skills and allowed me to grow and make mistakes. She truly gave me wings as a youth and helped me become a good teacher. I am still involved in 4-H in my county and my children have both graduated from 4-H. I cannot say enough about what a loving, inspirational, kind hearted woman she was. She will be missed. To the family, please know that she will always hold a special place in my heart.

  7. Terry and Rich Haag

Kathy and family, you have our thoughts and prayers. Take care and hold each other close as you bless her memory in your hearts and stories.

  8. Rosemary Pientok

MaryAnn and I developed a special friendship. We accompanied each other to many medical visits and was one of the most well-read people I have ever met --- her knowledge of countless historical events and her experiences in life were so interesting and the stories never boring....(surprising me with her wit and humor)-- cherished her family and so very satisfied with all their accomplishments. She will be missed but so happy to be with her "Jim".

  9. MaryAnn and I developed a special friendship. We accompanied each other to many medical visits and chatted as if we were sisters--friends--or whatever. She was one of the most well-read people I have ever met --- her knowledge of countless historical events and her experiences in life were so interesting and the stories never boring....(surprising me with her wit and humor)-- cherished her family and so very satisfied with all their accomplishments.

  10. Wilbur Sweeney

My condolence. I only shared a few moments of Mary Ann's life. But she was most helpful to me in my efforts to learn about my Bear Creek cousins; the Rileys, the Higgins, and the Morans. I occasionally refer to "our" St Patrick's Cemetery sign when directing someone to St Patrick's Cemetery. May she rest in peace.

  11. Joanie (Berger) Gonitzke

So sorry for your loss. I spent many hours at her sewing machine. She taught me how to sew for 4-H. She helped me learn how to put zippers in and collars on and many others things. One of my dresses even made it to State Fair. She was very instrumental in our having a good 4-H club. Thoughts and prayers are with you. Not many more of the old neighbors are around anymore.

  12. Lawrence B. Berger

I am sorry to hear of May Ann's death. I have known her since grade school. She was involved in my sisters' 4-H projects. She hosted her nephew Steve Mayhew for a couple of summers. I remember her involvement in St. Patrick's cemetery and in preserving the Town of Canton town hall and getting the neighbors together there. I will celebrate a Mass for her and your intention.
