Dona Mae Mansur
Dona Mae Mansur, age 92 of Menomonie, died peacefully on Friday November 27, 2015 at The Neighbors of Dunn County in Menomonie.
Dona was born on June 13, 1923 in Emerald Township to Amos and Ethel (Taylor) Stork. She was raised on the family farm, attended Bell School and went on to work at the Soda Fountain in Baldwin, while helping out with her younger siblings and chores on the farm. Later she worked at a medical center in Minneapolis, MN as an elevator operator before marrying Darrell C. Mansur in June, 1959. They farmed in Galt, CA for many years, later moving to Glendale, AZ. She moved to Holden, LA after her husband passed away before moving to Wisconsin, where her nephew, Larry Stork, lovingly cared for her the rest of her days.
Dona enjoyed many things in life, including, but not limited to, gardening, painting and was an excellent cook who loved entertaining her friends and family. Dona’s deep faith in the Lord was evident to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Dona is survived by her brother, Benjamin Stork (WI), sister, Carol Pontius (AZ) and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Amos & Ethel Stork, husband Darrell, sister, Doris Schwartz, and brothers, Dale Stork and Willis Stork.
Memorial Services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday December 2, 2015 at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Menomonie. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the Funeral Home on Wednesday. Burial will be at a later date at the Green Acres Cemetery in Scottsdale, AZ
