Allan K. Herrley

Allan K. Herrley age 83 of Plum City, died Tuesday November 10, 2015 at his home in the Township of Maiden Rock, Pierce County, Wisconsin.

Allan was born August 4, 1932 in Faribault, MN.  He was the son of Benjamin and Donna (Witter) Herrley and grew up in Morristown, MN. Allan married Betty Kitzman in October of 1958. After marriage they farmed near Morristown and West Concord, MN. They also ran a supper club in Medford, MN.  They divorced and Allan moved to Kasson, MN where he sold cars and farm equipment.  Allan married Lila Rustad Bechel in October of 1977.  They made their home in Plum City and later moved to a small farm near Lund.

Al enjoyed going to dances, listening to polka music, his dog Penny, and visiting with his friends.

Al is survived by his children, Pam (Dan) Kucera of Faribault, MN, Jeff Herrley of Dodge Center, MN; two grandchildren, Brody and Chloe Kucera, a brother Lawrence (Joyce) of Morristown, MN, a sister Evelyn Wright of Faribault, MN, step children, Harold Bechel of Plum City, Lonnie (Becky) Bechel of Hagar City, Kathie Bechel of Hammond, several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Al is preceded in death by his parents, his second wife Lila, and a sister Gloria Voracek.

A Celebration of Life will take place from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday November 15, 2015 at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand.  Burial will be in the Union Cemetery in Plum City at a later date.

    Al always had a great smile and a wave of the hand whenever you drove by or walked by, will miss him.

    Al was always great at telling ole and Lena jokes. Some of his jokes weren't always cleaniest but you always got a good laugh when you were around al.

    So sorry for your loss Pam, Jeff, Betty and family. My memory of uncle Alan was one of a hard working, handsome man that loved being around people. I think he purchased the Silver Saddle Supper club so he could dance and entertain. Now that he has been received in heaven he and Lila can two step once again.
