Lenore L Snell
Lenore L. Snell, age 95 of Menomonie, died Sunday, July 13, 2008 at the American Lutheran Home in Menomonie.
Lenore was born on June 6, 1913 and grew up in the Menomonie area. She was the daughter of Carl and Cora (Olson) Retzloff and graduated from the Menomonie High School. Lenore married Roman Snell in 1934. After marriage, they resided in the Twin Cities and Duluth before moving to Rusk where they owned and operated the General Store. In the early 50’s they moved to Eureka, SD where they owned and operated a Ben Franklin until the early 60’s. They then moved to Rochester, MN. Lenore retired in 1974 with her husband and moved to Hayward and later back to Menomonie, where she remained the rest of her life.
Lenore is survived by her three nieces, Judy Lewis, of Wausau, Rita Young of Menomonie and Mary (Patrick) Sobota of Wilson, five nephews, Ron Retzloff of Green Bay, Bob (Kathy) Young of Crandon, Tom (Lou)Young of Pennsylvania, Steve (Teresa)Marine of New Richmond and John(Kelly)Mairne of Menomonie, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Prededed in death by her parents, her husband, Roman a brother Loren Retzloff, two sisters, Phyllis Young and Marlys marine.
