Rhiel Funeral Home and Cremation Services is available 24 hours a day, prepared to answer your call.  Our staff will assist you with the details of your loved one's service in a respectful and professional manner. Our promise to you is that, we will always treat you and your family with the utmost dignity and respect.

Arrangements:
One of our directors will take care of all of the operational details with you, such as the service details; time date, and place of service, coordinating with clergy, music, flowers, cemetery, crematory, lunch, etc.  If military honors are appropriate, we will arrange the participation of Veterans or American Legion and work with the local Veterans Service Officers.

Personalized  Services :
We will assist you with the choice of a casket, urn, grave liner or vault that best fit your needs.  These products may be customized with photos, embroidered scenes, and/or corner medallions to reflect the life of your loved one. We are an authorized agent for Melgard Monuments of River Falls and can help you create a unique memorial.

Legalities and Notification:
We will handle the processing of all necessary legal requirements for, including;

• Filing of Death Certificate
• Reports of Final Dispositions
• Submitting Death Notices & Obituaries
• Notification of Social Security
• Cremation Authorization
• Veteran Benefits

Our Facilities:
Rhiel Funeral Home and Cremations Services offers our families three locations to hold visitations and funeral or memorial services in.  Our chapels include many tables and areas to display pictures, favorite items, items made by your loved one, etc. for the visitation and/or service.  We have the ability to view DVD tributes.  We have a separate family room in Durand and Menomonie so you may bring in some light snacks, or just take a minute to yourself.  For a funeral or memorial services, our chapel is non denominational and sits about 110 people comfortably. 

Lasting Memorial Products:
Rhiel Funeral Home and Cremation Services have many different products to memorialize your loved one, such as jewelry, urns, DVDs, etc. 

• Our DVD picture memorial tribute takes 50-60 pictures and sets them in motion to music.
• Jewelry that can store a portion of cremated remains or a locket of hair, to a finger print of your loved one etched in precious metals.
• Token keepsake urns to keep a portion of your loved one's cremated remains, and many more options.

Pre-Planning:
The loss of a loved on is a difficult time, a stressful time to be faced with final decisions and financial choices.  We encourage families to ease that burden by pre-planning both your final arrangements and financing.  There are several advantages to pre-planning;

• Your wishes are made known to your family
• Family disagreements may be avoided
• Decisions may be made with more clarity ahead of time
• Financial comments may be made rationally
• Choices are not emotionally influenced
• You have more time to consider your options
• The stress of the details are lifted from your family, so they may grieve, celebrate a life and begin the healing process

Monuments:
We represent Melgard Monument Company of River Falls. The Melgard Monument Company is a family owned company since 1888. We will work directly with Melgard to ensure your family a monument that fits your loved one's life. Monuments may be personalized to represent ones favorite hobbies, favorite pastimes, photos (i.e. etching or engraved) or what they did for a living (i.e. farming or carpentry). Custom etching can be done by a professional artist if needed. You will also see a computerized layout of the memorial before it is installed. Melgard guarantees every monument they sell.
