Bernice B. Clark, age 73 of Arkansaw, died peacefully in her sleep Friday, April 19, 2024 at AdventHealth in Durand after a long battle with cancer.

Bernice was born on June 21, 1950 in Durand. She was the daughter of Sherman and Annabelle (Kralewski) Bignell Sr. Bernice grew up in the Porcupine Valley with her 16 siblings and attended Arkansaw High School. She worked at various places of the years, most recently at Huntsinger Farms in Eau Claire and Bun and Rosie’s Bar in Durand. Bernice married Ricky Clark on August 2, 1986.

Bernice enjoyed crocheting and cooking. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Bernice is survived by her husband Ricky, children, Sheila (L.B.) Spencer of Arkansaw and Troy (Jessie) Van Brunt of Maiden Rock, grandchildren, Kimberly, Travis, Harly (Nick) and Dalton (Alex), many great grandchildren, siblings, Richard (Dell) Bignell, Edwin (Donna), Sherman (Mischa), Sharon (Greg) Leisgang, Kevin (Pat) Bignell, Brian (Dianna) Bignell, Jean (Larry) Fauske and Jane Cowden, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Ronald, Wallace, Wayne and Lyman Bignell and sisters, Eileen Bignell, Marie Schutts, Mary Ann Pease and Nancy Thompson.

Memorial Services will be 11:00AM Saturday, April 27, 2024 at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand, with Pastor Steve Cole officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the time of services at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will be held following the services at Twisted Sister’s Saloon in Arkansaw from 12:00PM Noon-4:00PM.
