Mary M Webb

Mary was the daughter of Lloyd and Ruth (Snyder) Buskirk of Lonaconing, Maryland.  Mary grew up in Lonaconing with her 3 brothers and graduated from Valley High School in 1959.  She was recruited by Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company in Washington, DC to serve as an information operator. While living in Washington, DC, she met Thomas Webb at the Washington monument, who was serving in the Army.

Mary and Tom fell in love and were married Aug 31, 1961 in Washington, DC.  The couple then moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, where Tom was stationed at Schofield Barracks Army Base, followed by a reassignment to Ft. Riley, KS., where the couple lived in nearby Junction City, KS.  It was there that Mary and Tom started their family.  First child Deena was born in 1964 followed by second child Dean in 1965.   The couple then moved to Minneapolis, MN in 1966 where Mary worked as an information operator for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company and at Univac working on computer circuit boards.  Mary and her family moved to Eau Galle, WI in 1968 where their third child Lonnie was born in 1969.

While Mary and Tom were raising their children, Mary worked alongside family at the Eau Galle Cheese store from 1973 to 1987.  In 1987 she pursued her true passion of working as an information operator for Wisconsin Bell phone company in Eau Claire, where she later retired in 2007 with over 20 years of dedicated service.

Mary is survived by her children Deena Kinney, Dean (Sharon) Webb, and Lonnie (Lisa) Webb, brother-in-law Francis Webb, sisters-in-law Bernadine Bechel, Beverly Furhman, Rita Hoffman, and Phyllis Buskirk, grandchildren Christina (Luis) Lopes Serrao, Lyndsey (Cody) Madsen, Clynt (Sondra) Ebling, Taylor Webb, Maryssa Kinney, Andrew Webb, 6 great grandchildren, 31 nieces and nephews, and many friends.
